About Me
I am a Master’s student in Human Language Technology with a background in linguistics and professional experience in data analysis. My work sits at the intersection of language, technology, and society, with a focus on building language technologies that improve accessibility and make digital spaces more inclusive. I am especially interested in how these systems can better reflect linguistic diversity and support people who are often overlooked in technological design.
I began my academic path with a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature, followed by a second Bachelor’s in Applied Linguistics. Through these programs, I developed a strong foundation in language structure, acquisition, and variation, along with a growing interest in the social and political dimensions of language. This perspective continues to shape my work, particularly in areas like discourse analysis, bias in machine learning, and the ethical development of large language models.
Alongside my academic training, I’ve built a technical skill set that allows me to work across both linguistic and computational domains. I have experience in data analysis and visualization using Python, R, and SQL, with an emphasis on clarity and interpretability for both technical and non-technical audiences. I also work with Natural Language Processing tools such as spaCy, NLTK, and scikit-learn for tasks like text classification and parsing. In addition, I have advanced proficiency in French, developed over more than 13 years of study.
In 2025, I completed an internship with XRI Global, where I work on expanding access to language technologies for low-resource languages. This experience reflects my broader interest in reducing barriers to technology and making language models more inclusive. I am particularly drawn to projects that explore bias in datasets, improve multilingual systems, and support underrepresented language communities.
I enjoy collaborative, problem-focused work and tend to approach challenges from both analytical and human-centered perspectives. My goal is to continue working at the intersection of linguistics, data science, and ethics. I am especially interested in contributing to projects that prioritize tech responsibility and access to language technology.
If you’re working in NLP, AI ethics, or language accessibility, I’d be glad to connect.
